The game is played the same as the original Monopoly game but uses Minnesota state icons as inspiration for the properties and well-made, sculpted tokens. Going around the board, you will come across Como Park, Lake Superior, Voyageurs National Park, the Boundary Waters and more. Minnesota-Opoly is for 2 to 6 players and for ages 8 and up. You get your rent by buying the properties and then increasing your rent.
Properties include such things as Minnesota State Fair, Paul Bunyan & Babe, Minnesota Nice, Hotdish, Spirit Mountain, North Shore Scenic Drive, and Split Rock Lighthouse. Tokens include a hockey Stick, Viking Hat, wolf, teepee, corn cob, and an axe. Adding interest to Minnesota-Opoly are the fun facts found on the back of each property card where information is given about that property.
